I am beyond excited to announce that a product I have been working on for over four months is finally complete. It’s not only the largest product I have ever made, but it is also one that I am most proud of and can’t wait to use in my own classroom to start off the school year.
The questions I most frequently receive from blog readers, teachers that I coach, and when I’m doing educational consulting for other districts is: “How does it all fit together? What are all of the other students doing during guided reading? How do I make sure I’m still hitting the standards?” These are all valid questions, and these questions sparked the idea to create a product that not only answered all of these questions but showed teachers HOW everything worked. This product was created chalk full of resources, but beyond the resources are lesson plans and directions filled with the WHY to match the HOW. A product that not only focuses on the performance of teaching a lesson, but also the art of teaching behind teaching these lessons and how to plan to differentiate reading instruction, take anecdotal notes, and plan lessons for whole group minilessons and guided reading in the future. Everything I know Reading Workshop to be is laid out step-by-step into one incredible resource.
If you’re interested in knowing more, hop on over to my TpT page to read the product descriptions and download the preview to see if this is something for you.
If you’re interested in hearing me talk about the product and seeing what the Reader’s Notebook looks like that is constructed by students throughout the kick-off, check out this Youtube clip.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this product if you’re interested in starting Reading Workshop in the fall.
