Year-Long Reading Curriculum
Hey there! I'm Kasey Kiehl.
- I see and feel firsthand the demands and the pressures teachers face in the classroom every single day and know that sometimes curriculum and learning about instructional practices takes a backseat. Teachers should not feel guilty about attending to students’ needs first. There is not enough time in the day, much less the school day, to do it all.
- I am here to support teachers through providing engaging, intentional, and high-quality year-long curriculum for reading, writing, and grammar. My resources can fill in the gaps where you need them, but my true intention is to give you a year-long curriculum and not just a quick teaching activity.
- I am highly passionate about not just making curriculum for students, but also providing information and resources to teachers about why and how to implement that curriculum.
- I believe students need reading, writing, and grammar strategies that they can apply again and again to future situations where they have to read and write. Students need to see themselves as readers and writers who are competent to use their literacy skills to accomplish their goals.
